The World at Our Side

A landslide of best wishes and feedback in a variety of languages from many different parts of the globe-all are concrete signs of your closeness to our assembly and your interaction with us-even though mediated by the written word.
We truly feel accompanied and supported by the prayers of all of you, our sisters and brothers, many of whom unite to your messages the offering of your sufferings for us. We feel the whole world present here, including numerous bishops who have told our sisters that they are asking the faithful of their local churches to pray for us. One of these is the Bishop of Maputo, Mozambique, who promised to remember this important moment for our Congregation in his Eucharistic Celebration and who sent us his blessing, which we welcomed with joy.
One of our FSP communities writes: “Thanks for ‘infecting’ us with hope and enthusiasm from your ‘cenacle,’ which has worldwide dimensions.” And another: “May Fr. Alberione and M. Thecla obtain for us the grace to propel our charism into the future by listening and responding to the signs of the times and by welcoming the many small lights of renewal that the Lord is kindling for us.”
Our heartfelt thanks to all of you for taking every opportunity to remind us of your presence and support, which unites us in a truly universal experience of communion.
We continue to be immersed in the delicate work of this stage of the Chapter-a work laden with hope. Please join us in entreating the Spirit:
Come, Holy Spirit: expand our hearts and help us discern the horizons of God.
Come, Holy Spirit: accompany us with a sure and steady hand
toward the new and unexplored frontiers you are revealing
for the proclamation of the Gospel.
