Time is passing by very quickly and the Chapter delegates are working intensively. Prayer, study, reflection and sharing all prepared us for this important moment. Together, we are drawing up the guidelines that our Congregation will be following for the next six years. It is a work of great responsibility-a time of listening, of making proposals and then discerning and approving them.
This work must be carried out carefully and meticulously. On the small group level, we are working on the text that will then be submitted to the General Assembly for examination. We all have at heart a great desire: that this document truly come from the Spirit; that it interpret God’s “dream” for our future; that it reveal the direction in which history and the Church are urging us to move so as to be apostles of Jesus Christ for our sisters and brothers of today, including in those environments inaugurated by the computer age.
Please ask the Holy Spirit to accompany us, especially in these days!

In addition, today we want to share with all of you some wonderful and very special news. To celebrate the Centenary of the foundation of the Pauline Family, Pope Francis has granted a Plenary Indulgence to all the members of the Pauline Family and to all those who, sincerely repentant and united in heart to the spiritual purposes of the Years of Faith, want to join us in our celebrations. The Indulgence can be gained from 20 August 2013 up until 26 November 2014.
Dear friends, let us welcome and make the most of this extraordinary grace!

In these days, in a spirit of intense communion, we continue to beg the Lord for peace in Syria and throughout the world.
